This Grow your own wild strawberries kit has everything you need to grow wild alpine strawberry plants. The kit contains a red 8cm bamboo plant pot, a peat-free coir disc and wild strawberry seeds, so everything you need to start growing on a sunny windowsill indoors. The compost is Peat-free compost, the 8cm pot is reusable and made from biodegradable bamboo. Ideally sow the seeds in the pot inside from March-April or Sept-Oct for early flowers the following year. Alpine strawberries are a decorative, dwarf ground cover plant with beautiful white flowers followed by baby strawberries, approx 1cm long. What they lack in size they more than make up for in taste – the flavour is exquisite, especially when picked and eaten straight off the plant! Not suitable for children under 3 years.
