A leather mantle style Gorget, designed to help mount our shoulder armor options more comfortably, or to function as it’s own piece of armor. Each mantle is made out of 8-10 ounce latigo cowhide and attached via a single buckle strap. Each has 2 holes on top of each shoulders where you can mount armor pieces either via chicago screws or ties. Like all our armor pieces, you have the option of having the mantle hardened with wax, or left unhardened. These gorgets are not NOT* legal armor for most fighting groups (HEMA, SCA, etc.) as they do not offer any neck protection. If your group only requires collar bone protection, these pieces may qualify, but check with your group to be certain. As always, customization is available, feel free to message me for details.
