This is a leather renaissance doublet/ vest made out of 3-5 ounce mule deer leather. Mule deer is slightly heavier weight than regular deerskin, but still extremely soft and supple. It is available in our standard sm/md or l/xl sizes, which are adjustable via laces on the sides. Similar to our long deerskin jerkin, this version extends to a point just below the waistline in front, with 3″ wide peplum accents around the waist, with epaulette shoulders and can be made with a stand collar in 2 available sizes, or left collarless. The side lace closures are reinforced with metal eyelets. We have two sizes available, the S/M size adjusts to fit size 36-42 chest. The L/XL will fit 42-48 There are 6 standard colors, but many other options, feel free to message me if you have something particular in mind. Mule deer are a range animal, therefore their hides tend to have a number of imperfections, scratches, scars, bullet holes etc. We will do our best to pick unmarred pieces when making each jerkin, but there will be at least a few imperfections.
